For the Charles River Regional Chamber (CRRC), connection is everything. With over 1,100 members and counting, this vibrant nonprofit serves as the backbone of the business community in Newton, Needham, Watertown, and Wellesley—suburbs just west of Boston.
Their work centers on supporting the economic and cultural vitality of the region through events, advocacy, and education. And when it comes to hosting engaging, energizing events, like speed networking, Workbar has been the perfect partner.
The Chamber originally started out with hybrid memberships at Workbar before growing into a private office. The needed to keep their operating costs as lean as possible, and needed a central location to to keep all of their event equipment. A 4-person private office was a perfect solution.
“We were one of the original members of Workbar Needham during the pandemic,” says Katherine Herer, VP of Operations at CRRC. “It’s been fantastic. We’ve grown and adapted with the space, and it’s met us every step of the way.”
As a small but mighty team of seven, the Chamber needed flexibility, community, and affordability, and Workbar delivered on all three. With hybrid schedules and a variety of work styles, their staff uses the space in ways that fit each individual’s needs—some thrive in the quiet of The Study, others prefer the buzz of the Commons.
