Not Your Average Office: Dynamic Solutions That Are Changing the Game

When people come to Workbar, they're often on a familiar mission: find a private office or suite. It's what we all think of when we imagine “work space.” After all, a stand-alone office feels like the right answer for teams needing focus and autonomy, and it’s a natural go-to in the world of traditional workspaces.

But here’s where we get to share our special sauce with you: at Workbar, we believe your office solution should be as dynamic and versatile as the people in it. And it doesn’t have to be daunting. Our goal is to find a solution that not only meets your needs but adapts to you as you evolve.  In the tech world, companies age in dog years—moving through growth stages at lightning speed compared to the twentieth-century standard. Yet, commercial building valuations still cling to outdated lease terms, with brokers pitching five-year leases as if time hasn’t moved on. It’s surprising that any company in today’s fast-paced environment would still sign on for such a lengthy commitment. But let’s get back on track...

We’re a coworking company, why do we talk about private offices so much?

The truth is, 99% of our leads come from people searching specifically for private offices. Why? Because that’s the default answer—they simply don’t know there’s a better way. That’s why we still focus on those “private office” keywords online: to meet people where they are in their search and introduce them to a whole world of options they may not even know they need.

Breaking the Norm

When someone comes in looking for a private office or suite, we don’t just hand over a set of keys and call it a day. We dig deeper. Our Sales Director faces a challenging task when forecasting revenue, largely because we’re converting so many of these inquiries into customized solutions that are far more suited to how people actually use the space. Shifting the conversation from "I need an office" to "I need the right solution for my team" means longer discussions, but it brings more value for everyone.

In our white paper Make Work Work, I highlight a few of the companies that initially sought traditional office setups but ultimately found that customized solutions better suited their teams. Whether it’s a blend of private offices and coworking memberships or TeamShare passes that bring teams together a few days each week to collaborate, we’re always up for the challenge of finding the perfect fit, and it’s almost always the more cost effective solution.

People aren't one-size-fits all,  and their workspace shouldn't be either.

So why don’t more people think of searching for customized workspace solutions? Because they don’t exist outside of Workbar.  Our extensive regional network and intentionally designed spaces allow us to provide tailored solutions that others simply can’t match.

Finding our Zen

Here’s a reality of our sales process: a lead rarely ends up as what it came in for. Our sales cycles might be longer because we’re involving more people in the conversation—taking the time to explain our product to different layers within organizations-many who may not yet realize they can create something much more flexible and innovative for their teams.  Our sales and marketing team has learned to stay zen, embracing the reality that being ahead of the curve means staying agile, building processes on the go, and being ready to adapt at any moment.

At Workbar, we’re not just here to be the backup option. We’re here to introduce you to a workspace that works for you, rather than you working to fit into a workspace. So go ahead, book a tour, and take the time to chat with us. You might be surprised by what’s possible.
