Our way of giving back

At Workbar, we believe supporting local companies is essential to keeping Boston’s unique grit and spirit alive. That's why we launched our Small Business Grant contest back in 2021 to provide Boston-based businesses an opportunity to raise funds and have the resources and connections they need to thrive. 

Apply below by December 11, 2024, by filling out the application form and crossing your fingers! We’ll announce the winner on December 17th, just in time to celebrate with your family and friends over the holidays.

2024 Applications Are Open

For the purposes of this contest, eligible small businesses must meet the following criteria: 

  • Applicant is the principal owner of the business
  • The business is physically located in or serves Massachusetts 
  • Business has been operating for at least 6 months
  • Business has an annual revenue of one million dollars ($1,000,000) or less
  • Business has 15 or fewer full-time or part-time employees 
  • Business has not previously won the Workbar Small Business Grant 

December 11th, 2024: Deadline to apply  → December 16th, 2024: Voting closes →  December 17th, 2024: Winners announced

Tips From Our Judges

Here are a few things to keep in mind when filling out your application:

  • We want to get to know you! Share details that bring the story of your company to life. Tell us what makes your business unique.
  • Massachusetts is our home – and we love the businesses that make the Commonwealth such an amazing place to work. Tell us how your company serves our community.
  • We want this grant to really make a difference and spark innovation. Tell us how the prize money will go to good use for your business and the world at large.
But most of all, be yourself! Your business is a reflection of who you are. We can’t wait to read all about it!

What Happens Next 

Once you submit your grant contest application on the form above, you will receive an email to confirm your submission. You will be contacted if you are chosen into the final selection process. Good luck!
